There are many things in life that are necessary evils. Work. Taxes. High health care costs. Death. And cell phones. OK, so cell phones aren't really that evil, but they sure do cost us a lot of money.
Sure, there are monthly cell phone plans out there that tout loads of minutes, or even unlimited plans. But what's the real cost? A study by the Utility Consumers Action Network shows revealed that some consumers are paying as much as $3.02 per minute, when you take into account the total fees associated with owning a phone and the unused minutes that they end up paying for anyway.
